About Me.
I'm Luke Urbik. I live in Crawfordville, Florida with my wife and four daughters. I'm the owner of Pathfinder AI. I build practical systems for small service businesses that have more work than hours in the day.
I came to this through a roundabout way, let me walk you through it. My wife and I both studied engineering at Texas A&M University. After we graduated, I went to sea, and she went on to teach.

I spent years working as a marine engineer on commercial vessels, running engine rooms where the machinery isn't allowed to fail. There's no mechanic shop in the middle of the ocean, so when something breaks, you and your team are the only people standing between getting the cargo where it needs to go and being stranded out at sea. You can't just treat the symptoms. You have to find the actual failure point and correct it, or it'll keep happening.
That kind of work shapes how you think about every problem after it. You stop trusting easy answers. You learn the difference between the loud problem and the real problem. You learn to be patient. You get in the habit of staying with something until it actually holds. Knowing the hard work you put in now pays you back later.
That's the same instinct I bring to the businesses I work with today.
Most of my clients are owners who, over time, have become the entire system. Pricing jobs late at night because there's no time during the day. Hunting through regulations for hours that aren't billable. Holding the whole operation together because nobody else knows where the information lives. They're incredible at running their business, but they're stuck doing every part of it personally. My job is to find the bottleneck and build something that takes it off their plate for good.
What I'm like to work with.
I am loyal and I work hard. When I commit to a client, that's a long-term relationship. Not a transaction. I don't disappear after launch, and I don't hand you off to someone else. Fifteen years in the engine room doesn't leave space for half-measures, and that habit doesn't turn off when I sit down at a keyboard.
I have a moral floor I won't cross. I'll tell you the truth even when it costs me money. If your problem doesn't need what I'm selling, I'll say so. If I think you're about to make a bad call, I'll tell you that too.
I care about quality more than profit. I'd rather build one thing that holds up for years than five that look polished in a demo and break later. I'd rather take on fewer clients so I can give each of them the time and attention they deserve.
I'm a family man before anything else. My wife and daughters are the best part of my life. They're who I'm building this for. The truth is, you didn't start your business so you could spend more nights at the desk. You started it so it could give you a better life. More income, yes, but also more time. More dinners you don't miss. More vacations that don't get cancelled. More Saturdays where you're actually present. That's what I'm here to help my clients get back.
That's me. If I sound like the kind of person you'd want to work with, you're probably the kind of person I'd want to work with too. When you're ready, reach out and let's get to work.
Tell me what's broken.
30 minutes. Bring the thing you've been working around. I'll tell you straight if I can fix it.
